Yoga Classes

Classes are donation based and are hosted by Nityananda Chandra Das.   

Class Format 

Hatha Yoga - The ancient science of asana or body postures, and pranayama or breathing exercises. A gentle yoga practice that helps release tension throughout the body and produces a sense of deep body rest and relaxation.  Suitable for beginners or advanced practitioners.

Mantra Yoga - Man means mind, and tra means to free or deliver. Mantra yoga settles and focuses the mind, and frees it from the daily stresses caused by its flickering nature. Without a peaceful mind, true body relaxation is not possible.

Jnana Yoga - Jnana means knowledge. Who am I? Are the body and mind the all in all? The ancient Vedic wisdom has answers to these questions, knowing which we can attain true happiness and fulfillment in life.

Tatyana Wagner has been dedicated to studying the Iyengar method since 2001. She was captivated by the clarity, prescision and transformative power of Iyengar yoga from the very first class she took. She completed her Intermediate Junior 1 certification and continues to study with Randy Just, George Purvis and Patricia Walden. Chanting and studying Sanskrit are of great interest to her and she brings this into her teaching.

 




 

Thanksgiving

Special hours, 11 - 3 and 5:30 - 9, and special $16.95 price. Mung dal soup, tofu turkey w/ dressing, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, candied yams, green beans, mustard greens, wild rice, veg pakora, cornbread, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, salad bar and pumpkin pie! The buffet line can be very long for the early seating - the evening one is always a bit more civilized. Wink
